Market Your Brand According to the Specific Holiday, Cause, or Event
Ah, autumn is here. This means cold weather, brown falling leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving turkey and so much more! Fall has a variety of seasons that, if analyzed properly, can be incorporated into your marketing strategy. In previous posts we’ve discussed the process of integrating strategies to efficiently benefit the marketing of your business according to specific holidays (see Customer Holidays and Marketing Integration). In this article, I would like to expand on this lucrative idea and link it to other current/popular events that have a huge impact on society. Your client targets are always first priority: Numero Uno! With that being said, I am going to use 5-Hour Energy as an example to show you how they’ve adopted this profitable strategy of target and societal engagement to promote their company’s brand and product. … Continue Reading

SEO Will Benefit Your Business
This post is a follow up article which covers a story I wrote back in July entitled (you guessed it): Do New Companies Really Need SEO?
For those of you aren’t familiar with that post, I will give you a recap. A very dear friend of mine had just recently opened a brand new cupcake business in a small town. She was noticing progress in her sales, and since business started booming she inquired about social media and SEO integration. Initially, she hadn’t been very enthusiastic about the entire idea for many reasons. I proceeded to explain why it is very important to utilize these marketing efforts, especially when a business is doing well for itself. … Continue Reading

New Ad Implementation On Twitter
How do you feel about the ad placements on the desktop version of your twitter profile page? Almost every popular online social media platform has them:
-YouTube
-Facebook
-Pandora
(Just to name a few)
Mainly, the reason is to support and generate some sort of extra profit for the platform (especially if it is free of charge to the average user). We all witnessed Facebook’s evolution from a simple blue and white college online social network to a booming profitable social phenomenon, accessible to anyone with a computer, overflowing with massive amounts of ads. From clothing to lifestyle and leisure, these ads are taking these networks by storm. This is understandable considering the fact that everyone is online most of the time whether it be for occupational, educational, or personal purposes. However, we want to know your take on twitter’s new adaptation to the ad integration. … Continue Reading

Recently, the presidential election coverage has swept the nation as updates and facts are being published for public viewing. The interesting part about this is that, not only are news publications politically driven to provide us with this information but social media as well! Twitter, Facebook, and blogs are all common sources for the most recent trends and updated information, but what about music applications? Recently, after viewing posts from followers as well as utilizing my own music apps I’ve run across messages geared toward the political views of these particular platforms.

Popular Apps Become Involved With Politics
So which applications am I referring to exactly? Pandora is a music application which gives the user full access to all of their favorite artists, songs, and genres. Members are able to create and set stations according to all three areas I’ve just mentioned, and Pandora finds similar music within the same genre of that selected station. From then on, it is up to you to select which songs you like/dislike. The “thumbs up” function saves the song for a future play, “thumbs down” will save to the memory of that station and Pandora will discard the song from that particular station. Pretty cool, right? Well, one of my twitter followers posted this image from their Pandora application.

Chevrolet Enrolls New Web App
Applications are created every day, hour, and minute! All it takes is:
1 Idea
1 Team of Creative Thinkers
1 Great Marketing Strategy
…And voila! There you have it, a genius idea that not only extends to the internet, but multiple platforms which utilize web access. Previously we’ve written articles covering the importance of acknowledging that web applications can do wonders for your company’s web presence with posts like Targets and Mobile Markets. Here, we mention State Farm’s nifty Steer Clear and Pocket Agent Application which simplifies most tasks completed by their insurance clients. The prime subject is that it doesn’t matter which industry you belong to: Where there is a will, there is an application for that brand. I just wanted to tap into a recent app for one particular brand that I found interesting. Their marketing strategy ties into the efforts of outreach very well. … Continue Reading

Stay Consistent Via Social Media
When it comes to social media presence it is very important to stay grounded and connected to your target audiences/followers. Whether it be a blog site, facebook, or twitter account it is very important to maintain that connection between those who are associated with your brand as well as your current and potential customers. We have stressed this time and time again, but recently after completing a trend search regarding small businesses I noticed that many accounts were receiving negative feedback related to their response frequency. It’s always good to do a trend search regarding your industry (complete one often if you can), because it provides you with the ability to stay updated on what you should be focusing on. Even if you are the CEO of a very successful company, it is crucial that you sustain loyalty with your clients. I know what you’re thinking I do this already, and if you do that’s great! The point I am trying to make is that consistency is key in regards to engagement. … Continue Reading

Social Media Rated by Industry
Which industry do you feel ranks highest in relevance and online presence when it comes to social media? That is not only a difficult question to ask, but a difficult question to answer as well. From fashion to news broadcasting and events, the usage of social media serves its purpose in efforts to projecting interest, trending topics, and etc. It all boils down to what “The People” want to read, see, and listen to. All links that contain audio, text, and image content are connected to each and every online social media network today. If it isn’t interesting or relevant to your target audience, it simply will not survive in such a competitive market. The recent thought I’ve come down to, is what industry actually benefits the most from these social avenues. … Continue Reading

Businesses and Mobile App Integration
Does your company, brand, or service have a mobile application?.. I know what you’re thinking: Doesn’t that only pertain to the electronic Industry? The answer to that question is NO. Just because your particular industry isn’t involved with electronic devices or software doesn’t mean that you can’t synchronize a modified marketing mobile strategy to target your current and potential customers. Whether you have an Android or Apple tablet or smart phone, the app store is the “go-to” center for customers in need of simplification and interest. So what does this mean for you? … Continue Reading

The Olympic Games 2012 and Social media Influence
By now you’ve probably recognized the relevant connection between the popularity of events regarding social media and the Olympic Games 2012. So relevant, that this year alone the amount of tweets, trending topics, Facebook posts, Tumblr posts, and Pinterest posts (I could continue, but the list is endless) have generated awareness between the viewer and network television stations that air the events. I have stumbled upon many conversations this year that identify the relevance of trends online drawing people in, and getting them involved in discussions related to the Olympics. … Continue Reading

You may or may not be aware of the importance of SEO and everything that encompasses the process of properly tracking your website. At a recent event I ran into an old friend who just started a new business. It is a small cupcake and pastry shop located in a small town. For purposes of this topic I will use the conversation I had with the owner in this next example. As we were discussing the significant amount of progress the new business was receiving, we then talked about marketing and social media platforms. The website was launched the following week after the store opened, and the verbal responses she received were incredible (notice I used the word verbal). When I asked her which platform she preferred to use for search engine optimization (SEO), she then responded “Well, do I really need SEO?” My response: Absolutely! … Continue Reading
