Managing Social Networks from a Mobile Platform

FaceBook Pages Manager Application

As I logged onto our Facebook page, and viewed the upper admin portion of the screen I noticed something that I realized I saw everyday but never really acknowledge: the Facebook Pages Manager Application. This was a small ad which promoted the app through iTunes. I clicked on the link to find out more information about what it offered, and to find out more about how it would be beneficial to the admins of our account here at Truth Marketing. Needless to say, I read the review, downloaded it, and began to play around with the application. I liked it so much that I decided to write my own article review. This application is free and it gives you the opportunity to update and monitor your business/company’s facebook page from a mobile platform. How wonderful is that? No longer will you have to race home to a lap top or desktop computer to access your admin ability when updating professional facebook pages. I use an iPhone 4s, so this application is available for all users who can access the iTunes app store (which I downloaded it from). I am not completely positive if this is available through other mobile carrier app stores (however, if it is, feel free to inform us).  There are many perks, for instance:

You are given the ability to turn push notifications on/off as well as set them for a specific time.  This feature is perfect if you have a very popular facebook page, and would like to receive the bulk of your messages, comments, likes, etc. after a certain hour.

Uploading photos, and posting statuses is a breeze not to mention the insight viewer. This option allows the admin access to view their insights just as they would through the original website, but in a very visually acceptable format. I took a screen capture of the example given on the iTunes downloading review. This displays the organic, paid, and viral reach as well as the number of clicks through the “engaged users” panel. Lastly, I’ll leave you with another great example:

If you’ve posted a link to a post, let’s say on your company blog, you are able to access the link directly. A mini version of the site is prompted on our screen, and from there you may leave directly to that site’s link or minimize it, share it, the possibilities are endless! As you can see we are in the beginning stages with this application, but we can definitely see great potential and growth within its features. Mobile marketing platforms/applications make it very easy to access, update, and monitor information regarding specific campaigns or clients.

Are you using this application? If so, what are your thoughts on it thus far? If you know of any other mobile social media monitoring applications feel free to share some of your favorites with us!
