What are some of your favorite marketing apps?

Wait! You didn’t know that there were applications geared towards marketing? Well my friend, I have something very yummy for you to professionally digest. Since the technological industries have recognized that we are doing everything with our smart phones and mobile hand held devices, they have decided to put a spin on things and incorporate marketing within their app store. How amazing is that?

Recently I have been doing some research to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of what popular tools I can use as a marketing associate to further assist and develop my marketing strategies. I found a few which I played with, but as we all know there are free apps and then there are priced apps to choose from whether it be on the (Google Play) Android or the Apple app store marketplace. Tablets and smart phones are with you most if not all of the time, and depending upon which industry you’re in, this makes your business approach mobile. Now let’s focus on Marketing.

Particularly, I am more prone to utilizing Apple apps due to their large scale of diversity when it comes to the development of new applications. Also, many apps are convertible for both the iPhone and iPad tablet which makes the “on-the-go” process even more accessible. Lately, there has been a recent cross-over between the apple and android apps so feel free to check out any apps that I mention on other markets because they may be available on that platform as well.

Here is what I found:

1. DropBox- With this app any user can now access any document (videos, photos, pdfs, presentations you name it!) through this service. It’s free, and after you install it on your computer, you may then access all information uploaded through which ever device you download this application on.

2. Analytics HD- This app is awesome! Are you an avid Google Analytics user, and wish you could check your data away from your desktop? Have no fear, the SEO angel is here! For a reasonable price of $6.99 Analytics HD provides the user with every function you are able to do when using Google Analytics on your work or home computer. It incorporates everything from full screen charts to dashboard overviews, and this app also has the ability to switch accounts and campaigns. (You may also want to try Analytics for iPad, there are a few differences but it was built primarily for the iPad and it is free)

3. Dragon Dictation- This app is perfect for those of you professionals who are always traveling throughout the hectic work day with tons of ideas you wish you could just export from your brain into a virtual notepad. Well this is something like it so your problems are solved. With this free application you are able to press record, speak your thoughts, and just like that your content appears directly on the screen. Dragon Dictation listens to your speech, and converts it into text. How amazing is that?! This is especially perfect for sending emails, taking notes, brainstorming and jotting down ideas for twitter/blog updates, and pretty much anything else content related that you can think of.

4. Speaking of blogs, does your business operate a company blog which updates from a WordPress platform? Well this is a mobile application which enables the user to update posts anywhere you go. Feel free to post and upload your blog from your tablet or phone while you’re on a plane or train for business and/or personal reasons. You may even want to use Dragon Dictation to save your content if you just don’t have the time to physically type your content, and then later you can apply the text to your wordpress account.

So as you can see here, it is quite clear that the world of marketing combined with social media and technology is not limited to just desktop internet because they have created a place for it to go mobile (tablets and smart phones).
