Targets and Mobile Markets

Businesses and Mobile App Integration

Does your company, brand, or service have a mobile application?.. I know what you’re thinking: Doesn’t that only pertain to the electronic Industry? The answer to that question is NO. Just because your particular industry isn’t involved with electronic devices or software doesn’t mean that you can’t synchronize a modified marketing mobile strategy to target your current and potential customers. Whether you have an Android or Apple tablet or smart phone, the app store is the “go-to” center for customers in need of simplification and interest. So what does this mean for you?

Start tailoring a customized application which will create a buzz and/or sustain loyalty to your brand. You know the age old saying “Everyone is doing it”? Well, this applies to the mobile application phenomenon that has recently spread across networks and mobile platforms of all kinds. Sit down with a web developer and discuss what separates your company/service from others and harness that thought. After that is decided you will be able to move forward with a devised plan which will create a spring board for your mobile app. Now that you know it is common to link a mobile app to your brand (just as it is now second nature to create a twitter handle and facebook account) research simplification and interest techniques.

What we mean by this is just simply narrowing down what your current and potential clients are interested in regarding your service. Can you offer discounts and deals for those who register with the app? Or could you make information easily accessible to them by logging in through this application? Those are two major questions that when researched, will steer you in the proper direction as you develop this app. Customization and originality are key when defining your brand during the initial start-up phase, right? Exactly, now carry that with you throughout any connecting portal used to extend or define your brand (ALWAYS remember to streamline your ideas to keep an all around unified strategy). In doing so, you have created an exceptional, unique, mobile application which sets you apart from the competition in your industry.

For instance, take State Farm for example. Recently, while watching television I stumbled upon a commercial promoting an application I wasn’t aware of which caused me to do more research. Their Steer Clear App provides safety tips, and tracking for teens which is great for new drivers. The application also provides discounts for those who log in, and review the driving tips. This not only targets older customers (parents), but it reaches out to the younger targets as well (their children). The general Pocket Agent app makes it easy to access claim services, account information, and you even have the ability to pay your bill from this platform (which falls into the “simplification” category we mentioned earlier).

Now with all that being said: What are you waiting for?! All industries from small businesses to big corporations are all developing applications that target their clients to simplify the user experience and/or generate and interest while creating a buzz, which as a result sustains loyalty. Do you have an application, or are in the process of creating one? Leave of a comment; we would love to do a follow up story on you for this article.
